Frequently Asked Questions

General

  • I offer direct bank transfer (for Australian clients in AUD or European clients in Euro) or in some circumstances, payment via credit card (Stripe).

  • This is exciting! Please contact me so we can discuss the next steps. You can do this by either:

    • Filling out my contact form on this page.

    • Booking a virtual meeting with me via Calendly (click here)

    • Sending me a message via Whatsapp or email (details can be found here).

  • Depending on your service/project, I may require upfront payment. For example, for all website and branding projects, I require a 50% deposit before any work begins. The terms of payment are outlined in your contract and I will discuss this with you beforehand so you are aware of all costs.

  • All prices listed on this website are shown in Australian Dollars (AUD) or Euros (EUR) however I can provide a quote and invoice you in your local currency (US Dollars, Canadian Dollars, etc).

A full list of supported currencies can be found here.

  • I work from a home office in Girona, Spain. Depending on your location, we can meet via video call, or if you’re also in Girona, we can meet locally too!

Branding

  • When we work together on your branding, we aren’t just designing a logo - we’ll work on your overall look and feel of your brand. We will go through multiple rounds of edits to ensure your final logo and brand suite is exactly how you envisioned. This is why it can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks (depending on your feedback and responsiveness) to finalise your entire branding suite.

  • My prices are listed on my branding page.

To secure your logo/branding project with me, I require a 50% deposit up-front. The final 50% is due just before I handover your logo files to you.

  • Yes! I can definitely tweak your existing logo. It will help if you know what font was used but if not, I can still help. Common reasons why you might want your logo modified include:

    • You have a logo but want to add a tagline to it.

    • You need a version that fits in a square shape or a rectangle shape (you need a stacked or landscape logo variation).

    • You need a logo that is high quality / vectorised for large scale printing/billboards/signage etc.

    • You need your logo in black or white.

    • You don’t want to completely rebrand your business, however want a small change.

  • I use Adobe Illustrator - the best tool for designing vectorised (high quality) and unique logos and graphics. This is a paid program where I can design your logo and branding suite from scratch.

  • Yes - it’s essential for many businesses to have print-ready logos so they can use them on brochures, business cards, signage and more. My “Custom” and “Professional” branding packages include CMYK colour logos that are designed in a high quality program (Adobe Illustrator) ensuring they are “print-ready”.

  • Yes you can, however Canva generates logo templates that 1000’s of other businesses have also used. I love Canva for other projects, but unfortunately if you use it to design your logo, it will not be unique or customised. I use Adobe Illustrator to design all of my logos, which also allows me to use custom fonts and graphics not available in Canva.

My professional opinion: use Canva for other projects, not logo design.

Websites

  • I build both service based websites (like this one) and e-commerce websites using Squarespace. I can also include integrations with other apps for your business like Calendly, Mailchimp/Email Marketing, Booking Systems, Contact Forms etc. I find that Squarespace is the perfect website building platform for my clients as it means they can easily edit things themselves after I build their site.

  • This is probably the most common question I get when it comes to building websites. The short answer is it can take anywhere between 2-12 weeks to build a website for you and have it live.

The longer answer is that this time frame depends on various factors including:

    • How many pages you require for your new website - is it a single landing page, or website with 15 pages? The more pages, the longer it will take.

    • The features and integrations for the new site

    • Your ongoing feedback and changes to the design

If a website is time sensitive, and you need it live ASAP, I can also build you a temporary landing page so your business doesn’t lose customers in the meantime (additional charges may apply for this). Regardless, I’ll be able to estimate your project timeframe upon assessing what you need.

  • Yes! However this depends on two factors: 1) what you would like to change and, 2) what your website is currently built with/on. Please book an Intro Call with me to discuss your website goals and I will be able to recommend the best course of action for you. This may mean making changes to your existing website, or building a new website from scratch.

  • A landing page is what I define as a simple, 1 page website, with no internal pages. Everything is listed on the one page. This can be a website to capture enquiries while your new full site is being built, or it can be a landing page for marketing/advertising purposes.

A full website (like the one you’re reading this FAQ on), includes various internal pages (more than 1).

  • Yes - I build ecommerce websites using Squarespace. There’s a lot involved with an ecomm site, so I recommend we have a chat to see if I can help!

  • Most of my website packages include 1 x year of hosting and 1 x domain registration. After your website is built, the website will be transferred over to you, and you will be billed directly by Squarespace. You will no longer need to pay me. As such, your website costs after the first year will generally be:

    • your website hosting (if with Squarespace, this is usually $300 AUD / year)

    • your domain registration costs. e.g. www.yourbusiness.com (this price varies, depending on the domain however this is usually around $27 AUD / per domain / year).

  • Yes! While ongoing management is not included in your project costs, if you would like to change anything on your website at a later date, I am more than happy to quote you for one-off website work.

  • I build websites on a platform called Squarespace. There are lots of different website building platforms out there (like Wix, WordPress, Shopify and more) and each has their own pros and cons. I love Squarespace because it’s intuitive, integrates with other apps (like CRMs or email software) and it’s easier for my clients to edit their own site should they wish to.
